MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Grizzlies star Ja Morant is reportedly out for the season with a torn labrum, per the team.

According to the team, Morant suffered a dislocation in his right shoulder.

Following ongoing soreness, Morant underwent an MRI that revealed an underlying labral tear.

Morant is set to undergo season-ending surgery and is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.

Morant played a total on nine games this season, making his season debut on December 19 versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

The 24-year-old averaged 25 points a game, along with five rebounds and eight assists.

The Grizzlies currently sit 13th in the Western Conference with a 13-23 record as they will now have to play the rest of the season without Morant.
