MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Tigers basketball team has officially received a top-10 ranking in the AP poll.

The Tigers jump up three spots after being ranked 13th last week.

With conference wins over UTSA and Wichita State, the Tigers survived an upset-filled week to go from starting the season unranked to cracking the top-10 for the first time since the 2021 season.

The top-10 ranking is the third time the program has reached the milestone under head coach Penny Hardaway.

Memphis looks to continue to climb up the ranks as they face South Florida on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Tulane on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Both games will be televised on ESPN.
