Suspects break into tractor-trailer while jackknifed
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Suspects broke into a tractor-trailer Thursday morning while it was jackknifed.
Officers responded to a theft involving an Amazon truck at Holmes Road and Tchulahoma Road around 7 a.m.
Police say the suspect broke into the trailer, and it is undetermined at this time what and how much was taken.
There is no suspect information at this time.
Icy conditions caused the 18-wheeler to jackknife.
Action News 5 crews spotted the blocked road around 2 a.m.
Road conditions remain slick, and a round of freezing rain is expected Thursday morning, which will only worsen conditions.
In the meantime, stay off roads if possible; if you need to drive, take it slow and stick to the most heavily-trafficked areas.
