MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Grizzlies forward Vince Williams Jr. signed a three-year, $7.9 million guaranteed contract, according to the team.

Williams will move from his current two-way deal to a fully guaranteed contract with the team.

Sources say the contract includes a team option on the fourth year.

The VCU product currently averages around 22 minutes a game, 6 points, 5 rebounds, and roughly 2 assists.

With the deal, Memphis needed to clear up a roster spot, which resulted in the team waiving center Bismack Biyombo.

The Grizzlies have the opportunity to bring back Biyombo in the future as the team looks to add another big man on a two-way contract.
