MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Suspects failed to break into a liquor store on Kirby Parkway.

According to Memphis police, multiple suspects attempted to break into Hilltop Liquor store around 5 a.m. Friday.

Officers found shattered glass and a damaged gate, but no entry was made.

Police say security cameras showed suspects arriving in a gray/gold Chevy and a gray GMC.

The two suspects in the Chevy backed up on the sidewalk and reversed the pickup into the gate and glass of the Hilltop Liquors.

Vehicles stopped for a moment and then drove away after the alarm was triggered.

The driver in the Chevy wore a white hoodie and a black jacket over it. The Chevy has a broken driver’s side door and the driver’s side tail light is out.

It was unclear how many occupants were in the second vehicle.

Police say the driver in the white hoodie and black jacket was seen breaking into a Target in Appling Farms and broke into tractor-trailers on Holmes Road and Getwell Road.

Officers said the gray/gold Chevy Silverado and a Gray GMC Sierra were possibly seen on security cameras at the tractor-trailer break-in.
