ATOKA, Tenn. (WMC) - The Town of Atoka is asking customers of Poplar Grove Utility District to conserve water beginning Friday.

Town officials say the frigid weather has caused many leaks in customers’ plumbing, causing the district to run the water plant at maximum capacity.

Because of this, the district requests that Poplar Grove Utility District customers conserve as much water as possible.

Residents are asked to continue to protect their plumbing so that pipes do not burst.
