Pipe thief: Man steals nearly $9k worth of pipes from Central High School, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a man they say stole nearly $9,000 worth of piping from Central High School.
On January 18, officers responded to a prowler call at Central High Scool on Bellevue Road.
When they arrived, they observed surveillance video of a man loading items from the school into a truck and then leaving the property.
Officers later caught the suspect at a traffic stop, where he was taken into police custody.
The male suspect was identified as Ralph Ector.
Ector was booked into jail and is now facing charges for theft of property.
