PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - A woman has been banned from all Walmart stores after she walked out of the Paragould store with more than $1,000 worth of unpaid items.

Circuit Court Judge Pam Honeycutt sentenced 26-year-old Britteny L. Kirkland on Monday, Dec. 11, to 36 months probation after she pleaded guilty to one count of commercial burglary.

She will also have to pay all court costs and fees in $50 monthly installments beginning Feb. 1. Kirkland is banned from all Walmart stores and properties.

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported to Paragould police that 26-year-old Britteny L. Kirkland “pushed out a cart full of merchandise” on Aug. 27.

According to court documents, the store “provided video to corroborate” the accusation.

“Walmart APAs estimated the merchandise to be worth around $1,000,” Detective Corporal Aaron Gamber stated in the affidavit.

The detective also noted that Kirkland had been banned from Walmart in July of 2019 and “signed a restriction notice.”
