MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A cold front will bring strong to severe storms to the Mid-South Monday.

An ENHANCED RISK (Level 3/5) encompasses Memphis and areas west.

TIMING: Rain and storms through this evening then another round

will arrive after Midnight, a second round of storms will push into the Mid-South.

  • First Round: through - 9 PM Monday
  • Second Round: 1 AM - 10 AM Tuesday

HAZARDS: All modes of severe weather are possible, with damaging wind and heavy rainfall that leads to flooding are the primary hazards.

Rainfall totals of 2-3″ are possible which could cause flooding in portions of the region.

As such, a FLOOD WATCH is in effect from 3 PM Monday to 6 AM Tuesday.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
