16-year-old charged for multiple carjackings and robberies, MPD says
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police arrested a 16-year-old Tuesday for robbing and carjacking multiple people.
The teen is charged with three counts of carjacking, five counts of employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, seven counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of attempted carjacking, one count of attempted theft of property $2,500-$10,000, and three counts of curfew.
Investigators also linked the teen to several additional crimes in Memphis.
Officers say the teen began the robberies on December 26 and continued until January 3.
According to MPD, the teen was not alone in some robberies and is believed to have worked with someone else.
Police have no information at this time on any other suspects.
