MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police arrested a man Wednesday after they say he stole over $9,000 worth of liquor from a store.

Darrell Jones, 26, is charged with theft of property $2,500-$10,000.

According to MPD, the victim said that he was unloading an order for the liquor store when he noticed a suspect approach him and state “You know what it is.”

The victim reported that Jones and another suspect began unloading 18 cases of liquor into two vehicles.

Police say Jones and the other suspect fled the scene north bound on South Third Street in a stolen white 2022 Nissan Armada and a black Ford F-150 pick-up truck.

The Airways Task Force tracked the Nissan Armada and found it on Moccasin Drive.

Officers found Jones and two other suspects unloading the cases of liquor from the back of the Nissan Armada and took Jones into custody.
