MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police Department arrested and charged a man for car theft after they found snowy footprints on the floor of the driver’s seat.

On January 15, officers responded to a prowler call on Stage Road at the Valero Gas Station.

When police arrived, they discovered an empty car with the driver’s door and passenger opened.

They spotted two men running away, one of which was Randall Marra.

Officers were able to catch Marra after a brief pursuit.

When police checked the vehicle, they found fresh snow footprints on the floor and a crow bar sitting in the driver’s seat.

It was later discovered that the vehicle was stolen and that Marra had abandoned it when the police showed up.

Marra was taken into police custody and is now facing charges for theft of property, burglary, and evading arrest.
