Police search for gunman who targeted group of minors walking in Clarksdale, injuring 1

CLARKSDALE, Miss. (WMC) - A minor is recovering after being shot in the arm while walking with two others in a Clarksdale neighborhood on Monday.
According to the Clarksdale Police Department, three kids were walking in the area of Maple Avenue and Herrin Street around 11:15 Monday morning when a vehicle drove past them and numerous shots were fired at the group.
One of the minors was shot in the arm. The victims’ ages were not disclosed.
A home and vehicle over two blocks away were also struck by the gunfire.
Police say the shooter’s identity is unknown at this time.
