LANSING, Mich. (WILX/Gray News) - A Michigan man spent the cold weekend creating his masterpiece: an orca sculpted out of snow.

When most people were inside staying warm, Jeffrey Kosloski Jr. stayed outside creating an amazing snow sculpture. He built an orca, coloring it and making it look like it was in the water.

“First thought was build a snowman... but when I went out there, I’m like, ‘Snowmen get kind of old.’ So I was like, ‘Let me try something different,’” Kosloski told WILX. “Then, the orca whale just hit my head. I love orcas. It’s winter time. It feels Antarctic, so we haven’t had that yet here this year.”

The sculpture took around nine-and-a-half hours to build.

Kosloski said the snowfall was great for making sculptures. He had plenty of material to use, as a major winter storm brought heavy snow to the Lansing area on Friday.
