Dozens of deer caught on video frolicking in snow after winter storm in Tennessee
COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – A herd of deer was caught on camera frolicking through a field in Tennessee after several inches of snow fell during a winter storm this week.
The video shared by a viewer with WSMV shows more than a dozen deer running in a field behind a home in the Columbia area.
The homeowner, Janet McAlister, said the deer often make appearances around her neighborhood, giving residents a treat when they run around, seemingly playing with each other.
“We live in a residential neighborhood inside the city limits,” McAlister said. “They just run this neighborhood. There’s about 30 of them.”
She said while the deer are a common sight, seeing the animal run around in the snow is even more beautiful.
More winter weather is expected in Tennessee later this week.
