‘I hadn’t seen anything like it’: Mysterious man in chicken suit only appears when it snows

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF/Gray News) – In Tennessee, someone lurking around town on Monday has caused a stir among residents.

A man dressed in a chicken suit was seen walking around in the snow and had many people wondering why.

The recent snowfall in East Nashville had ruffled many feathers earlier this week. But WSMV reported the cold weather didn’t stop one eye-catching resident from getting out and about town.

WTVF spoke with several residents about the sighting.

“I hadn’t seen anything like it,” resident Peter Swan said. “I saw a man-sized chicken walking on two legs.”

Shannon Tompson said the mysterious chicken man only appears when it snows.

“Just like a beacon, coming through the snow you see this chicken,” Nathan, another resident, said.

Swan said the chicken was accompanied by humans, however.

“None of them had feathers,” he said.

Photographic evidence was captured by witnesses on their phones and they were able to provide eyewitness accounts.

“Absolutely, when we were here yesterday and as soon as Nathan pointed out that the snow chicken was going by, everybody crowded to the windows, everyone got their phones out.”

While the mystery still remains of who this birdman is, the community is laughing amid the long stretch of cold weather.

“I would love to know a little more about this bird,” Swan said.
