‘I do my job’: Walmart greeter gains TikTok fame after radiating positivity

MONROE, La. (KNOE/Gray News) – A Walmart greeter in Louisiana has captured the hearts of more than a million viewers on TikTok.

“Mr. John” became somewhat TikTok-famous when a video of him expressing his dedication to his job went viral on the social media platform.

TikTok user Kita Wright posted the video Monday, recording his encounter with the beloved employee.

“Rain or sleet or snow, I’m on the door,” said 76-year-old John Terry. “I do my job!”

The video quickly gained over 1 million views with many leaving comments admiring his work ethic and kindness.

“He is one of the sweetest employees there,” one person commented.

“He is the best... this man is love and light every single day. And the whole community knows him,” another person added.

Despite severe winter weather conditions in the Louisiana region, Terry was there to do his job.
