2 killed, including 10-month-old, in crash involving log truck

BLADEN COUNTY, N.C. (WECT/Gray News) – A 10-month-old and an 18-year-old were killed in a crash involving a log truck Thursday evening in North Carolina.
According to a representative with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord was heading east on NC 211 just before 5:30 p.m. when it crossed the center line and hit an unloaded log truck head-on.
Amaya Monae Johnson, 18, of Council, and a 10-month-old in the car died in the crash.
Authorities said Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, but the baby was secured in a car seat.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
