Tarvarious Haywood is super excited to be back home in Memphis, TN. Tarvarious or “T.Wood” as he likes to be called is a MMJ/reporter for WMC Action News 5. He grew up in South Memphis right off of South Parkway and Orleans.
He graduated from Hamilton High School in 2007. A couple of years later he headed south to Miami, FL where he attended Florida Memorial University. Several months after graduating from college, he got his first news job in Great Falls, Montana. He says it was a bit of a culture shock but managed to be there for two years. He later moved to Kalamazoo, MI where he served as a reporter/MMJ for WWMT.
His most recent role, he served as an evening anchor for a Nexstar station in Baton Rouge, LA. Tarvarious is married to his beautiful wife, Christina. They have two boys Tarvarious Jr and Tobias. He is a fisherman, hunter, foodie but what he loves most is spending time with his family. Tarvarious is a Memphian through and through and is excited to be home to report issues in his own community.
