‘It’s Friday Football Fever!’: Week 4 brings the heat!

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - High school football continues to kick into high gear in the Mid-South, and week 4 brought plenty of action with Friday Football Fever.
This week’s Game of the Week was Whitehaven vs White Station, with the Tigers coming out on top in a tight one, 13-7. Whitehaven improves to 2-0 in Region 8 Class 6-A play, and defeats the Spartans for the 13th consecutive time.
Other final scores from Friday’s games include:
- MUS falling in a valiant effort to top-ranked McCallie 42-35
- Germantown maintaining perfection by defeating Riverdale 41-32
- Olive Branch defending home field with a 35-32 victory over Horn Lake
- Melrose shutting out Kirby 43-0
- Sheffield beating Hamilton in a slugfest 44-38
