LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) - The Arkansas Department of Health is monitoring the spread of COVID-19 weekly.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 8, according to the ADH website, in the last 7 days there were:

  • 1,576 new cases
  • 998,334 total cases of COVID-19 in Arkansas
  • 3,109 total active cases (-681)
  • 982,418 recoveries
  • 12,896 total deaths (+44)
  • 181 currently hospitalized (-43)
  • 14 on ventilators (-4)
  • 4,607,163 vaccination doses given (+1,957)
  • 295,684 partially immunized (+76)
  • 1,697,546 fully immunized (+389)
  • 7,950,142 tests reported
  • 6,928,388 negative tests reported

The counties with the most new cases in the last 7 days:

  1. Pulaski: 221
  2. Craighead 117
  3. Washington: 92

For questions concerning the coronavirus, the ADH has established a call center staffed by health care providers.

Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., those with urgent and non-urgent questions should call 1-800-803-7847.

After 4:30 p.m., urgent calls needing an immediate response should call 501-661-2136.
